What Is Coleraine Connect?

Coleraine Connect is the public-facing trading name of Coleraine BID, the organisation responsible for representing and supporting businesses within Coleraine town centre. While the Coleraine Connect brand is used in marketing, communications and public engagement activities, the underlying limited company and Business Improvement District continue to operate under the legal name Coleraine BID.

The introduction of the Coleraine Connect brand followed a period of organisational change, including changes in leadership and board membership. The rebrand was intended to mark a new chapter for the organisation and provide a more modern, outward-facing identity for engagement with businesses, residents and visitors. It is understood that Coleraine BID may be the only Business Improvement District in the United Kingdom currently operating under a different public-facing brand name while retaining its original legal company and BID structure, although this would require wider industry verification. Despite the change in branding, the legal entity, governance arrangements and statutory BID responsibilities remain under the Coleraine BID name.

Through marketing campaigns, town centre initiatives, business support programmes and partnership working, Coleraine Connect seeks to promote Coleraine as a destination to visit, shop, invest and do business. Acting on behalf of levy-paying businesses within the BID area, the organisation works with a range of stakeholders to support economic development, increase footfall and contribute to the ongoing vitality of the town centre.
