Thunder Sports Set to Bring High-Eenergy Action to Coleraine Town Centre

An adrenaline-filled day of live entertainment is set to arrive in Coleraine town centre this summer as Thunder Sports takes over the Event Space on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11:30am.

Brought to the town by Coleraine Connect, the free family-friendly event will see the Thunder Action Sports Team deliver a thrilling live half-pipe stunt show featuring BMX and scooter displays from top riders.

Visitors can expect a high-energy atmosphere throughout the day, complete with live music, a live MC and a series of jaw-dropping stunt performances designed to entertain audiences of all ages.

The event promises a mix of gravity-defying tricks, high-flying jumps and interactive entertainment in the heart of the town centre, creating what organisers hope will be another exciting day out for families, visitors and local residents alike.

Coleraine Connect said the event forms part of its continued efforts to support and enhance the town centre through additional projects and experiences designed to increase footfall and create a vibrant atmosphere for businesses and visitors.

Coleraine Connect is a business-led, business-funded partnership where local businesses and organisations work together and pool resources to improve the trading environment and deliver supplementary initiatives over and above existing council services.

The Thunder Sports event is free to attend, with crowds expected to gather throughout the afternoon to watch the live stunt action unfold at the Event Space in Coleraine town centre.
