The Causeway Shantymen have extended a warm festive thank you to everyone who has supported them throughout 2025, marking another memorable year on and off the water.

Over the past twelve months, the Shantymen have travelled far and wide, sharing traditional sea shanties with audiences up and down the land. Their performances have reached all sorts of listeners, including, remarkably, the King and Queen, a highlight in a year full of special moments.

Alongside the music, the group has continued its important work raising funds and awareness for Portrush RNLI, proudly serving as Water Safety Ambassadors and championing the work of local lifesaving volunteers.

As the festive season arrives, The Causeway Shantymen are now officially on shore leave, taking a well-earned break over Christmas. That said, they hint that they may still be spotted washing up in a friendly harbour-side watering hole between Christmas and New Year.

With spirits high and sails temporarily lowered, the Shantymen wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and look ahead to another year of music, community, and maritime tradition in 2026.
