Rathlin Glamping Business With Spectacular Sea Views Goes On The Market

A glamping business on Rathlin Island with panoramic views across the North Channel has been placed on the market with an asking price of £295,000. 

Rathlin Glamping Pods, located a short distance from the island's harbour, has been listed for sale through Templeton Robinson.

The accommodation venture is one of a small number of hospitality businesses operating on the island. It was established in 2016 by John McQuillan, with planning approval granted the following year.

The site comprises four glamping pods overlooking the Antrim coastline, together with a purpose-built barbecue hut, hot tub and a dedicated reception and site office.

In marketing materials, the estate agent describes the property as: "A rare opportunity to acquire a thriving and well-established hospitality business in one of Northern Ireland’s most spectacular island locations.

The sale comes just over six months after three separate pieces of land on Rathlin Island were offered for sale at auction.

The lots, which included a historic stone ruin, two working quays and land at the island's southernmost point, went under the hammer on 28 November last year with guide prices ranging from £25,000 to £32,000.

Rathlin Island remains one of Northern Ireland's most distinctive tourism destinations, attracting visitors seeking wildlife, walking trails and a quieter pace of life away from the mainland.
