RAF Falcons Set To Headline Armed Forces Day In Coleraine
Apr 16, 2026
Coleraine is set to host a major aerial display as part of this year’s Armed Forces Day celebrations, with the Royal Air Force Falcons Parachute Display Team confirmed to appear.
The Falcons, widely regarded as the UK’s premier military parachute display team, are based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. They regularly perform at high-profile events across Britain and Europe, delivering precision skydiving displays that combine technical skill with carefully choreographed formations.
Over the years, the team has performed for members of the Royal Family, heads of state and large public audiences, and is known for introducing new techniques and innovations within formation skydiving.
There is also the possibility of further aviation activity. Aviation listings indicate that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight could take place later that afternoon, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Armed Forces Day events are held across the UK to recognise the contribution of serving personnel, veterans, reservists and cadets. The Coleraine event is expected to feature a range of activities reflecting that theme, alongside the planned aerial displays.
The full programme for the day is due to be released in the coming weeks.
