Plans Lodged To Extend Car Parking At Causeway Hospital

Plans have been submitted for additional car parking at Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust has applied for permission to extend the existing car parking area at the hospital site on Newbridge Road. The proposal is intended to provide extra parking spaces within the established hospital complex.

Alongside the new parking area, the plans include associated drainage works and a combination of hard and soft landscaping. These measures are designed to ensure the additional parking integrates with the surrounding hospital environment.

Planning documents state that the development would be located within the hospital’s curtilage and would form part of the wider on-site circulation network. The car park would be reserved for hospital users.

The application also outlines environmental measures, including surface water management and landscaping to minimise visual impact. Provision would be made to allow for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the future.
