Plans Lodged For New Commercial Units In Limavady

Plans have been submitted for the development of three new commercial units on Broad Road in Limavady. The proposal, brought forward by Nicholl Fuel Oils Ltd, also includes associated parking and ancillary facilities such as a self-serve laundrette and a dog wash station.

According to a supporting planning statement, the company is seeking full planning permission for the scheme at its existing site at 21 Broad Road. While the specific tenants have not yet been confirmed, the units are expected to accommodate a mix of local services, including a hair salon, a takeaway outlet and other small retail uses.

Developers say the proposals aim to complement existing facilities on the site and cater to nearby residents by expanding the range of local amenities. Nicholl Fuel Oils Ltd highlighted that the location already attracts a steady flow of customers from surrounding neighbourhoods, many of whom visit on foot for convenience goods.

If approved, the new units would form part of the firm’s broader effort to enhance its presence in Limavady while supporting local service provision. The application is currently under consideration by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
