Planning Green Light For Breezemount House Conversion In Coleraine

A landmark Victorian property in Coleraine is set for a new chapter after planners approved plans to convert it into private apartments.

Breezemount House, a listed building on Castlerock Road, has stood since 1861 and is considered one of the area’s architectural gems. 

Planners have now granted permission for a change of use, paving the way for the creation of five private apartments within the building.

The decision marks a significant transformation for the historic property, which has been a familiar feature of Coleraine’s streetscape for more than 160 years.

Heritage considerations have played a key role in the planning process, given Breezemount’s listed status. The conversion is expected to involve sensitive restoration work aimed at preserving the original features.
