Plan to Turn Vacant Coleraine Shop Into Two Homes

A former shop in Coleraine could be converted into two houses under new plans submitted to the council.
Applicant David McKeown has lodged a proposal to change the use of 24–26 Long Commons from a retail unit to two self-contained dwellings.
The two-storey building, which has been empty for some time, sits in a mixed residential and commercial area just outside the town centre.
According to the planning statement, the conversion would make “sustainable use of existing urban land” with minimal external changes to the property.
