Mayor Honours Noah’s Story And The Legacy Of Love Behind The Infinity Room
Mar 03, 2026
The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, has hosted a special reception at Cloonavin to recognise the remarkable work of Noah’s Story, a charity founded by Corrina and Johnny McAleese in loving memory of their son, Noah.
Noah tragically lost his life in a farming accident near Ballymoney in November 2022, just one week after celebrating his second birthday. In the face of unimaginable grief, his parents chose to channel their heartbreak into something that could help others. From that strength, Noah’s Story was born.
The charity is dedicated to improving support for families experiencing bereavement, ensuring that anyone facing the death of a child or loved one is met with compassion, dignity and appropriate care at the most difficult time of their lives.
One of its most significant achievements to date is the opening of the Infinity Room at Causeway Hospital. Created in partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, the dedicated bereavement space provides a private, calm and supportive environment for families navigating profound loss.
The room’s name is a touching tribute to Noah’s love of the film Toy Story, reflecting both his joyful spirit and the enduring love his family carries forward. It stands not only as a memorial to a little boy deeply cherished, but also as a practical and compassionate resource for others.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, said: "It is inspiring to see how Corrina and Johnny have turned such a personal loss into a positive force for our community.
“The Infinity Room, in memory of Noah, will become a much-needed resource for families who are experiencing the most heartbreaking of loss.
"It is a wonderful example of the difference that care, courage, and compassion can make for families at a very difficult time.
"The reception celebrated the dedication of the McAleese family, whose strength and compassion have been central to the project and who are both an inspiration to us all and to their son Noah's legacy."
Noah’s Story continues to raise funds with the aim of opening similar bereavement rooms in other hospitals across the Northern Trust area, extending this vital support to even more families.
Alongside the Infinity Room, the charity promotes trauma-informed training for hospital staff and offers families meaningful ways to honour their loved ones, including personalised poetry.
Through these ongoing efforts, Noah’s Story is helping to reshape bereavement care across Northern Ireland, ensuring that even in the darkest moments, families are surrounded by understanding, dignity and compassion.
