‘Journey to Market’ Programme Now Open for Aspiring Makers & Producers

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Town and Village team has announced an exciting new partnership with Seasons of the Glens and Causeway Foodie Tours to deliver the ‘Journey to Market’ Programme, a unique opportunity for aspiring and emerging traders to take their first steps into the renowned Causeway Speciality Market.

For many local makers, producers, and creative entrepreneurs, joining the vibrant line-up of traders at Council’s twice-monthly Causeway Speciality Market is a long-held ambition. The new programme has been designed to turn that ambition into reality.

Created for both start-ups and established businesses, Journey to Market is ideal for anyone planning to apply for a stall at the market—whether to launch a new venture, test a product, grow visibility, build a customer base, or boost sales. Participants will gain the practical skills, confidence, and industry insight needed to bring their products successfully to market.

What Participants Will Gain

Successful applicants will have access to a comprehensive package of support, including:

• 1-1 mentoring from industry experts

• Workshops covering selling, pricing, compliance, branding, marketing, and more

• Two free market pitches at the Causeway Speciality Market to gain real-world trading experience

• Access to a small grant upon programme completion

This mix of tailored mentorship and hands-on experience has been designed to equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive market environment.

Who Should Apply

The programme is open to producers and creatives aged 18+ who are not currently trading at the Causeway Speciality Market and who have not traded there in the past 24 months. Additional eligibility criteria apply and can be found via the official application link.
