Halloween Happenings Return To Causeway Coast And Glens

Halloween officially returns to Causeway Coast and Glens this October, and visitors are in for a real treat with spooktacular activities including a newly added sensory evening in Coleraine.

The Borough’s four main towns will offer free ‘Halloween Happenings’ events from Saturday 25^th October through to Friday 31st October 2025 and the programme promises both a varied and exciting range of activities for everyone to enjoy this Halloween.

Visitors will be able to soak up the scary atmosphere of a zombie inspired haunted house in Ballymoney on Saturday 25^th October, while the excitement moves to Ballycastle on Monday 27^th October for the annual seafront fireworks alongside a wall of terror and seasonal photobooth.

The two-day event in Coleraine commences with the newly added all-inclusive family-friendly evening on Wednesday 29^th October. Then on Thursday evening, the energy ramps up with a full noise fueled programme. Both evenings will deliver a tree-lined spooky trail really adding to the seasonal atmosphere.

On Halloween night, Friday 31^st October Limavady will host the final exciting Halloween programme including Limavady Drama Club characters and fire performers.

Looking forward to this year’s events, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan said: “The new all-inclusive event in Coleraine is a very welcome addition to the 2025 Halloween programme for those with additional needs.

“Thank you to Council’s Events team who have once again organised a fantastic programme of free activities and fun for all the family at each of the four main towns in our Council area.

“I would encourage you to wrap up well, bring the family out and come along to enjoy our ‘Halloween Happenings’ events this October.”

Ahead of each of the main events starting at 6.30pm, Council is pleased to offer quiet time sessions for individuals with additional needs taking place from 5.30pm – 6.30pm. Each session will include some of the following, friendly characters, potion making, wall of terror, and a range of calm amusements.

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are pre-bookable and can be booked by contacting the Bushmills Visitor Information Centre on 028 2073 0390. Council’s Mobile Accessible Changing Unit will also be available at each event site.
