Northern Ireland's first-ever Brick Fairytale Trail and Ireland's first National Brick Event are set to transform Coleraine into a brick-lover's paradise this October.

Thousands of visitors are expected to descend upon Coleraine this autumn as Coleraine Connect unveils The Great Coleraine Build, a spectacular month-long celebration that promises to cement the town's reputation as one of Northern Ireland's leading family destinations.

Taking place throughout October, the ambitious initiative will bring together two landmark attractions, both of which have made history on the island of Ireland.

For the first time ever in Northern Ireland, families will be able to experience Brick Fairytales, an enchanting exhibition created by internationally renowned brick artist Warren Elsmore. Thirteen giant brick-built fairytale installations will appear at locations across Coleraine town centre, inviting visitors to embark on a magical trail inspired by some of the world's most beloved children's stories.

The interactive trail will encourage families to explore the town, discover hidden characters, visit local shops, cafés and businesses, and enjoy a unique day out in the heart of Coleraine.

Adding even more excitement to the programme, National Brick Events will make their first-ever appearance in Ireland on Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 October.

Recognised as one of the UK's fastest-growing independent brick shows, National Brick Events offers visitors the opportunity to browse rare and retired LEGO® sets, hunt for sought-after minifigures, discover the latest releases, and meet specialist traders travelling from across the United Kingdom.

Dedicated play zones containing thousands of LEGO® bricks will provide endless entertainment for younger builders, while collectors and Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs) will have the chance to expand their collections, uncover hidden gems and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Together, the Brick Fairytales trail and National Brick Events will form The Great Coleraine Build, creating what is expected to be one of the largest brick-themed experiences ever staged in Northern Ireland.

Jonny Fielding, Chair of Coleraine Connect, said:

"As Chair, I am delighted that Coleraine will become home to Northern Ireland's first Brick Fairytale Trail, featuring thirteen magical installations that we know will capture the imagination of visitors of all ages.

"We are equally excited to welcome National Brick Events to Coleraine for what will be its first visit to Ireland. Bringing together these two attractions gives us an incredible opportunity to showcase the town, increase footfall for local businesses and create memorable experiences for families throughout October.

"There is still much more to reveal over the coming weeks, but we hope everyone shares our excitement about what promises to be a truly unforgettable month for Coleraine."

Nick Beevis, organiser of National Brick Events, added:

"We're really excited to bring National Brick Events to Northern Ireland for the very first time, and Coleraine feels like the perfect place to do it.

"The town is easy to reach, the welcome we've received has been fantastic from the outset, and this will also be our first-ever two-day event. We thought if we're coming to Northern Ireland, we should go big."

Whether you're a lifelong collector, an enthusiastic builder, or simply searching for a memorable family day out, The Great Coleraine Build promises something for everyone.

Coleraine Connect has thanked Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, the delivery partner for the initiative, for supporting the month-long celebration, which aims to attract visitors, support town centre businesses and further establish Coleraine as a premier destination for family-friendly experiences.

Further announcements, including the full programme of events, trail maps, family activities and additional attractions, will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
