Danske Bank Announces New Branch Investment In Ballymoney
Sep 18, 2025
Danske Bank has announced plans to relocate its Ballymoney branch to a new site just a few doors away from its current High Street location.
Fit-out work will begin soon and is expected to be completed in November. The existing branch will remain open for customers in the meantime.
At Explore Causeway Coast and Glens, we exclusively revealed this news in recent weeks, keeping our community ahead with the latest updates on this significant development for the town centre.
Branch Manager Elizabeth Graham said customers can expect a modern new branch with some service enhancements:
“My team and I are looking forward to welcoming customers to our new branch later this year. Customers will still see the same friendly faces they know, and the branch will have a welcoming and modern feel.
“Having listened to customer feedback, I’m delighted to share that the branch will be open over lunchtime once we move, and there will be an additional exterior cash machine which will have auto deposit functionality. We’ll share more details closer to the move but in the meantime, we’re very much still here for customers in our usual location.”
Aisling Press, Managing Director of Personal Banking at Danske Bank, added:
“This investment reflects our continued commitment to our customers and community in Ballymoney, delivering a fresh branch experience, enhanced services and improved facilities for our colleagues and customers.
“Although we’re sad to leave our current building with its rich history, this move is about meeting both our current and future needs. While many customers now prefer online banking, branches remain an important part of how we serve our customers. It’s about ensuring customers receive the best possible service however they choose to do their banking.”
Glyn Roberts, Chief Executive of Retail NI welcomed the development, saying:
“Like much of the retail landscape, banking has changed, with many consumers and businesses preferring the convenience of digital banking. However, it is also clear that many of our members and their customers still value having the option of local branch banking. We very much welcome Danske Bank’s ongoing commitment to Ballymoney.”
- The new branch will be at 12, High Street. The current building occupied by Danske Bank at 6 High Street will be advertised for sale.
