A well-loved independent fashion boutique in Coleraine has celebrated its 10th anniversary by opening a new flagship store in a prime location on Kingsgate Street.

Daisy Mae Boutique, now at 23 Kingsgate Street, is the brainchild of owner Marianne Blaney, who has built her brand around bold colours, quirky designs, and a deep sense of personal meaning.

Blaney’s eye-catching collections have earned her a loyal following over the past decade, from teenagers searching for the perfect party dress to women in their seventies looking for something that stands out. The boutique’s signature pieces include flamboyant heels and Italian handbags shaped like tequila bottles and vintage cameras.

“I leave the beige trousers to other stores,” Blaney says. “We focus on timeless outfits that get you noticed and feel joyful.”

The shop’s name, Daisy Mae, is a heartfelt tribute not only to her mother, Mae, but also to her beloved dog Daisy Mae, who passed away on 3rd June 2025. Daisy, who was born on 21 December 2009, had been a constant companion throughout the boutique’s journey.

“Daisy was there from the very beginning. She was part of the story,” Blaney reflects.

With a new storefront, an online presence, and a decade of success behind her, Blaney remains grateful to her customers. “To all our regulars: we see you and we remember you.”

In a retail world that often leans toward the safe and similar, Daisy Mae Boutique continues to stand apart as vibrant, personal, and proudly unpredictable.
