Council Ratifies £370k Benone Boardwalk Upgrade

Councillors have formally ratified plans for a £370,000 investment to upgrade the boardwalk at Benone Strand during a full meeting of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
The scheme will see the council invest £370,000 in improving the boardwalk at one of the borough's most popular coastal walking routes.
The upgraded boardwalk is intended to help protect Benone's fragile dune habitat by encouraging visitors to remain on designated paths, reducing erosion and minimising damage to the sensitive environment.
The investment will also provide a safer, more durable and accessible route for both residents and visitors, while enhancing the overall visitor experience at the popular coastal destination.
