Jan 29, 2026
Coopers Restaurant in Coleraine has announced it will close its doors next month, bringing an end to six years of trading in the town.
In a statement issued to customers, the bistro bar confirmed its final day of service will be Sunday, 8 February. The business said the decision had been a difficult one, citing rising costs including wages, rates and business taxes as key factors behind the closure.
Owners thanked customers for their loyalty and support over the years, describing the friendships formed and memories shared over “countless meals”.
Customers have been invited to visit for one final meal before the restaurant closes. The statement also advised that any outstanding gift cards must be redeemed by 8 February, and that all reservations after that date will be cancelled. Coopers Restaurant has been operating in Coleraine for six years and has been a familiar presence in the local hospitality scene.
The business signed off by thanking customers for being part of its journey.
