Coleraine Sainsbury’s Petrol Station

Sainsbury’s petrol station in Coleraine is to be rebranded as Go as part of a deal to sell all eight of the supermarket’s forecourts in Northern Ireland.

LCC Group, which operates the Go brand, will take ownership and responsibility for running the sites.

The Coleraine forecourt is expected to change branding in the coming months, with “significant investment” planned across the stations included in the sale.

All eight sites will be converted to pay-at-the-pump facilities, which Sainsbury’s said would be convenient and accessible for customers.

The supermarket said no redundancies were proposed as part of the sale. Staff affected by the changes will remain employed by Sainsbury’s at existing nearby stores.

The agreement also covers petrol stations in west Belfast, Forestside, Holywood Exchange, Sprucefield, Bangor, Ballymena and Dungannon.
