Coleraine Retailer Homemakers Proposes Expansion Of Warehouse Site

A planning application has been submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council by long-established local retailer Homemakers Superstore, outlining a proposal for a significant warehouse extension in Coleraine.

The plans include the construction of a new warehouse section complete with a mezzanine floor and a redesigned façade facing Lime Market Street.

The development would also see part of the existing structure demolished to make way for the upgrade. The proposed site lies on a currently vacant plot approximately 14 metres north-east of No. 2 Lime Market Street.

Homemakers, a well-known furniture and flooring retailer in Northern Ireland, has been serving the Coleraine community for over five decades. The company boasts more than 30,000 square feet of showroom space, displaying an extensive range of home furnishings, including carpets, beds, sofas and ornaments.

Subject to council approval, the extension is expected to strengthen Homemakers' presence in the local retail sector and improve service delivery, with the potential to boost employment and economic activity in the area.
