Coleraine Connect to Host ‘The Big Bark Dog Show – Coleraine’ This Summer

Coleraine town centre is set to go barking mad this summer as Coleraine Connect prepares to bring a brand-new family-friendly event to The Diamond.

The Big Bark Dog Show – Coleraine will take place on Saturday, 18th July 2026 at the Event Space at The Diamond, offering an afternoon packed with fun, laughter and community spirit for dog lovers of all ages.

Proudly brought to you by the business levy payers within Coleraine town centre, the event will feature a variety of light-hearted competitions designed to celebrate four-legged friends and bring families together in the heart of the town.

With 10 competition categories planned, dogs and their owners will have the chance to take part in everything from Handsomest Dog and Cutest Puppy to Waggiest Tail and Dog Most Like Its Owner before the Overall Best in Show winner is crowned at the end of the day.

Registration for the event will open from 12 noon at Coleraine Town Hall, with the main show expected to run from approximately 1pm until 3pm or 3.30pm.

Entry to the event will be free, although organisers have confirmed spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis due to expected demand.

Organisers are also reminding attendees that all dogs attending the event must remain on a lead at all times.

The event forms part of ongoing efforts to create engaging town centre experiences for families while supporting local businesses and encouraging increased footfall across Coleraine.
