Coleraine CafƩ Owner Proud To Support Hometown Football Club
Sep 02, 2026
A Coleraine town centre business owner has spoken of his pride after sponsoring an advertising board at Coleraine Football Club.
Stevie Friel, owner of Brunchit Coleraine, said the sponsorship was particularly meaningful given his lifelong connection with the club and his belief in "local supporting local".
His association with Coleraine FC stretches back to childhood, when he began selling half-time draw tickets at the old turnstiles at the age of 12.
He went on to follow the club home and away and has been involved in a number of ways over the years, including serving on the Social Club committee, hosting functions and, more recently, helping with food for the first team.
Brunchit also offers Coleraine season ticket holders a 20% discount before 11:00 and throughout Wednesdays.
Mr Friel said being in a position to sponsor an advertising board through his town centre business was a proud moment for him, his family and the Brunchit team.
"Local supporting local is something that means a lot to us," he said.
"We're proud to be part of this town and its community, and hopefully the relationship between Brunchit, the club and its fantastic supporters continues to grow in the years ahead."
For Mr Friel, the sponsorship represents another chapter in a connection with Coleraine Football Club which began more than three decades ago.
