Christmas at The Courthouse – Children’s Community Event

Santa at The Courthouse will be hosting a special Children’s Community Event in MacNaghten Hall, The Courthouse Bushmills on Saturday 13th December 2pm-3pm. 

Local children from Bushmills will have their chance to meet Santa exclusively, have some soft drinks, treats and receive a small gift, which has been kindly sponsored by Hallidays Fiat, Bushmills. The Community Outreach team will be delivering kids craft sessions during the event. Invites have been sent out to community groups and schools from The Courthouse Community Outreach team. 

This event is being delivered by The Courthouse Bushmills, in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, following an approach by Deputy Mayor, Alderman Richard Stewart. Ald Stewart was keen to see something happening for the local community in Bushmills,  in the absence of a community outdoor switch on event, given safety concerns and the need for a pre-planned road closure and additional marshalling support. 

During November and December local community groups and schools have been busy crafting decorations for a series of 14 Christmas trees.  Some of them will be on display at the event.

Important Note:
Santa’s special gifts—kindly sponsored by Hallidays Fiat, Bushmills—will be provided exclusively during the Children’s Community Event on Saturday 13th December from 2pm–3pm for invited local children only.

Invites have been sent out to community groups with children involved, and to local schools in Bushmills via email from the Community Outreach Team and will be publicised in their Community Newsletter.

This is a free event but booking is essential through The Courthouse digital booking platform or directly with the Community Outreach team, as numbers limited to 120.

All children must be accompanied by an adult

Please notify Courthouse staff of any allergies as treats and drinks will be provided at the event.

Santa at The Courthouse – Public Programme FOR INFORMATION ONLY

Santa at The Courthouse will be in residence from Saturday 29th November in his beautiful hand- painted  Grotto in The Courthouse at Bushmills.  

Children are warmly welcomed to visit Creative Santa and watch him work on his lates creation by his fire.  Bring your Santa’s letter, or write one while you are here, and post it in our Santa’s post box to ensure it is express delivered in time for the big day.   Santa’s elf will be on hand to help too.

On the specific Santa Grotto dates listed below, a small selection of wrapped sweets and chocolates will be available on these days.
