Causeway Coast And Glens Heritage Trust Opens Recruitment For Chief Executive
Dec 17, 2025
Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust (CCGHT) has announced that it is recruiting for the position of Chief Executive Officer.
The recruitment comes at a key moment for the organisation, following the publication of a new Prospectus which sets out the Trust’s continued commitment to protecting, celebrating and enhancing the natural, built and cultural heritage of the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
For more than 25 years, the Trust has delivered protected area management through partnerships and projects designed to support heritage across the region. Its work spans the Antrim Coast & Glens, Binevenagh and Causeway Coast Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the Giant’s Causeway and Causeway Coast World Heritage Site.
The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible to the Board of Directors and Trustees for the overall strategic direction and performance of the Trust. The role includes providing organisational leadership, ensuring effective governance and financial management, and overseeing the delivery of services and programmes.
Key duties include acting as Chief Accounting Officer, managing budgets and resources, appointing staff, securing funding and developing new income streams. The post-holder will also act as the Trust’s principal spokesperson and work with stakeholders across the public and private sectors, as well as non-governmental organisations.
The position is full-time and permanent, subject to funding, with a salary on the NJC scale SCP 51–54, ranging from £63,837 to £67,435.
Applicants must ensure that the required sections of the information pack are completed and returned to the Trust by 5pm on Monday 19 January 2026.
Those interested in discussing the role informally can contact Trust Director Graham Thompson on 07568 158061 or by email at [email protected].
Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust said the appointment would play a central role in delivering its strategic ambitions and supporting the long-term management of some of Northern Ireland’s most significant landscapes.
