Bushmills One-Way Traffic Plan Dropped After Consultation

A proposal to introduce a one-way traffic system on Main Street in Bushmills has been dropped by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

The change had been included as part of a £6.8 million regeneration project linked to the borough’s Growth Deal.

Under the original plan, traffic would have travelled southbound only along the village’s main street between The Diamond and Bridge Street.

However, the proposal will not proceed after feedback gathered during a public consultation was considered.

The Growth Deal Executive Project Board confirmed the decision last week after reviewing the consultation findings.

Despite the change, the wider regeneration scheme for Bushmills is continuing as planned.
