Boutique Hotel And Housing Approved For Limavady Site
Jul 10, 2025
A significant redevelopment is poised to reshape a stretch of Main Street, as plans have been approved for the demolition of existing buildings at numbers 10, 12, and 12a, along with disused structures to the rear of the site.
In their place, a four-storey boutique hotel and a new social housing scheme are set to rise, marking a major investment in the area.
The 30-bedroom hotel will front Main Street and include a ground-floor reception, restaurant, and supporting facilities. The design aims to bring a contemporary yet sensitive architectural approach to the historic street frontage, creating a new focal point for both residents and visitors.
Behind the hotel, two residential blocks will deliver 26 much-needed social housing units. Block 1 will combine two and four-storey elements, accommodating eight one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats. Block 2 will rise to three storeys, offering a further ten one-bedroom and five two-bedroom units.
The scheme includes landscaped communal and private amenity areas, car parking, cycle storage, and bin facilities. Developers say the project has been designed to balance the needs of the local community while revitalising underused urban spaces.
The applicant is 10 Main Street Ltd.
