All Roads Lead To Portrush: New Podcast Takes You Inside The Open’s Triumphant Return
May 29, 2025
The windswept links of Royal Portrush Golf Club are ready to welcome golf’s most incredible spectacle once again this July.
To commemorate the return of The Open, last held here in 2019, Causeway Cast today unveils All Roads Lead To Portrush, a twelve-part podcast series set to debut shortly after 9pm this evening, Thursday 29 May 2025, on the Explore Causeway Coast & Glens website, iTunes, and Spotify.
Hosted by Chris Arthur, each episode takes us from the heart of Royal Portrush’s clubhouse to the wider Borough.
Along the way, we hear from voices within Royal Portrush itself, local businesses, community organisations, and visitors who have travelled from around the globe, all highlighting the global appeal and local spirit of The Open.
The series begins by exploring the rich history of Royal Portrush—no better way to start a podcast - and then continues its journey through the wider borough.
The opening instalment features Gerry McAleese, who humbly insists he is no official historian but possesses a lifelong passion for the club’s story.
With an estimated 278,000 spectators expected to gather on the Causeway Coast for the 153rd Open, All Roads Lead To Portrush promises to immerse you in the preparations, camaraderie, and electric anticipation that only The Open can inspire.
Tune in from 9.30pm this evening at https://t.ly/XzY4l.
Explore Causeway Coast & Glens is the borough’s largest destination and commerce website, connecting both visitors and locals to everything the region has to offer.
