Adrian Margey Spring Exhibition & Sale At The Arcadia Portrush May 3–5

visit causeway coast and glens Apr 28, 2025

Artist Adrian Margey will stage his Spring 2025 Exhibition & Sale of Work at The Arcadia Portrush this May Bank Holiday Weekend: Saturday 3rd - Monday 5th May.

The artist who works out of his Mark Street Studio in the town will be showcasing around sixty original artworks and limited edition prints exploring the Causeway Coast. The exhibition will take place in the light-filled upstairs gallery at The Arcadia, with views across the East Strand and the sound of the Atlantic promising to add greatly to the ambience of the show.

Although Margey is well-known for his vibrant, stylised approach to capturing Ireland’s landmarks and landscapes, visitors to the show will also enjoy his more impressionistic work which uses a naturalistic colour palette. Several large canvases depicting East Strand Portrush, Portstewart Strand and Whiterocks Beach in soft muted tones will add contrast to strikingly colourful depictions of Portrush Harbour, Dunluce, Portstewart Prom, Portballintrae and Mussenden Temple.

“I’m really thrilled to be showcasing my work in the iconic Arcadia again this Bank Holiday Weekend. I was really taken by the beautiful upstairs gallery space last year and feel it’s the perfect backdrop for my work. I will be on hand throughout the exhibition to discuss the work on show and ideas for potential commissions,’ enthused Margey.

Opening hours for the exhibition are as follows: Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th May: 10am - 7pm | Bank Holiday Monday 5th May: 10am - 5pm. Admission is free - everyone welcome. Parking will be available at East Strand carpark, just a few minutes walk from the Arcadia.
