£10,602 Spent In Local Towns Through Causeway Coast & Glens Gift Card

The Causeway Coast & Glens Gift Card scheme generated total sales of £8,080 in 2025, with 216 individual gift cards purchased.

Figures released for the full calendar year show that the initiative, which allows residents and visitors to support local businesses across the borough, also saw significant spending in the local economy.

A total of £10,602.75 was redeemed during 2025 across 302 separate transactions in participating businesses. These redemptions were spread across every town in the area, from Limavady to Ballycastle, including Kilrea, Coleraine, Portrush, Portstewart, Ballymoney and Bushmills.

Data covering the first ten months of the year shows that between 1 January and 20 October 2025, gift card purchases amounted to £5,135.

With total sales for the year reaching £8,080, this means that a further £2,945 worth of gift cards were purchased between 21 October and 31 December 2025.
