Limavady Venue To Host Holocaust Memorial Exhibition
Jan 08, 2026
An exhibition examining the consequences of hatred and intolerance is set to open in Limavady later this month.
Discrimination to Genocide – A Holocaust Memorial Exhibition will open to the public on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre.
Organised by Causeway Coast & Glens Museum Services, the exhibition explores how discrimination and prejudice can escalate into systematic violence and mass murder, using the Holocaust as its central focus.
The exhibition also draws attention to other instances of genocide, including Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, highlighting the shared warning signs and the devastating human cost when hatred goes unchallenged.
Visitors are encouraged to reflect on the importance of remembrance and the role of individual responsibility in standing against intolerance and dehumanisation in all its forms.
The exhibition is being delivered with support from Binevenagh Historical Society.
Discrimination to Genocide will run until Saturday, 21 March 2026. Admission is free.
