A Simpler Way To Explore The Causeway Coast & Glens
Feb 04, 2026
Over the past while, we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on something important.
Explore Causeway Coast & Glens has grown into a platform used by thousands of people every week to discover local stories, places and people across the borough. With that growth came more content, more features and more sections – which is great, but it also meant things started to feel a bit cluttered.
So we’ve taken a step back and asked a simple question:
How can we make this easier and more enjoyable for people to use?
What’s Changed (and Why)
We’ve simplified Explore Causeway Coast & Glens to make it easier to navigate and easier to explore, with a clearer focus on local stories, places and people. You’ll also notice our logo and brand identity are intentionally black and white, removing distraction and allowing the colour, character and personality of the Causeway Coast & Glens itself to take centre stage.
This has been a significant investment, with the platform rebuilt from the ground up. The aim is to create something more useful for everyone – helping local businesses get discovered more easily, giving visitors clear access to key information when they are planning a trip or day out, and making it simpler for locals to find out what matters to them in their own area.
The goal is simple:
Less noise. More focus. A better experience for you.
A Work in Progress (For the Next Few Days)
This evening, we flicked the switch to begin bringing a large amount of content across to the new platform. The majority of this content will not be fully in place until late Friday, and during this transition period you may notice some broken links or sections that look unfinished.
Over the next couple of days, some links and features may not yet work as expected. We anticipate everything will be fully live by the end of business on 6 February.
During this time, we’re also actively building out:
-
the events calendar
-
and the business directory
These sections are being rebuilt with a clearer structure and a better experience for both users and local businesses.
What’s Next for Members
Next week, we’ll also be making significant improvements to the members area. The focus here is on making it more useful, more supportive and easier for members to get real value from their listing and membership. We’ll share more details once those updates begin rolling out.
Building in the Open
Rome wasn’t built in a day. We could have waited longer until every last detail was perfect before going live, but now that the foundations are in place, it’s much easier to continue building and improving the site in real time. This approach means improvements roll out faster, feedback can be acted on quickly, and the platform can evolve alongside the people who use it.
Why This Matters
Explore Causeway Coast & Glens exists to showcase the people, places and stories that make this area what it is. The changes aren’t about stripping things back for the sake of it – they’re about making sure the platform continues to be useful, usable and focused on what matters most locally.
This rebuild is about creating a stronger local platform that better serves:
-
businesses looking to reach local and visiting customers
-
visitors who want clear, helpful information
-
and locals who want to stay informed about what’s happening around them
As always, the platform grows alongside the community it serves. If something looks odd, missing or broken over the next couple of days, that’s part of the transition – and it’ll be addressed as we roll out the final pieces.
Thanks for sticking with us while we improve things.
The aim is simple: to make it easier to discover what’s happening across the Causeway Coast & Glens, and to give local stories, places and people the space they deserve.
